What is the goal of the Monster Mass program?

The goal of Monster Mass is to help you build muscle as fast as possible. I designed the program to be 100% focused on muscle building -- so it’s great for skinny or “average” guys who want to pack on some size.

What is Monster Mass, and how is it different from other workout programs?

In the Monster Mass program, you will be doing INSANE muscle building workouts at home, following along with my crew and I on video. These are live workouts, so you’ll be following along with us as we do the workout in real time. If you’re familiar with the P90X or Insanity workout programs, the format is similar to that (but of course the exercises are intended for muscle building and are MUCH different.)

You will be given eight totally unique muscle building workouts in the Monster Mass program. This is to ensure your muscles are always receiving stimulation in a variety of ways, and to ensure you never get bored with your workouts.

We will begin each workout with a couple of warm-up sets. These are easy sets done at a low intensity to get you ready for the real workout. After this though, it’s important that you do every set in the workout with all-out intensity.

Each training video will target two carefully selected opposing body parts. These selected body parts are trained to the full potential and you will also be given the proper time to recover throughout the program.

In Monster Mass, EVERY set in the program is a Monster Set other than the warm-up and cooldown. Monster Sets consist of doing a set an all out set of repetitions for one exercise, and then immediately working the opposing muscle group with no rest in between sets.

For example, one Monster Set we do in the program is to do eight reps of a dumbbell chest press, and then eight reps of a dumbbell dead lift (an exercise that works your back, the muscle group that opposes your chest.)

The reason why I’ve designed the program this way is that some studies have indicated (but have not conclusively proven) that training with agonist-antagonist supersets (the scientific name for Monster Sets) may be associated with more muscle growth the training with regular sets alone. What equipment do I need for Monster Mass?

The minimum equipment you must have for Monster Mass is:

  1. A set of dumbbells
  2. A set of resistance bands
  3. An exercise ball

To perform all optional advanced variations you will need this equipment in addition to what I mentioned above:

  1. Adjustable bench
  2. Pull-up bar
  3. Curling bar
  4. Weight plates

How much time do I need to follow the Monster Mass program?

We've designed the program to be as simple, easy, and convenient as possible to follow. However, it's important for you to know that you WILL have to spend some time and effort to build muscle with Monster Mass. For best results you should expect to spend:

  1. 30-45 minutes doing the workouts, 4 times a week
  2. 30 minutes watching coaching videos, once each week

Overall, you should expect to be spend about 3 to 4 hours per week following the program. If you can commit to this, then I can help you build some quality muscles with Monster Mass. The reason why you could gain so much muscles in such short workouts is that you'll be using Monster Sets, which is much more effective than the workouts most people do at the gym.
